Trainer BiosKimberly Robertson Kim has been certified under AAAISMA and NCSF for personal training. She’s also done training in specialized techniques such as; ashtanga and hatha yoga, pilates mat and reformer, pre/post natal conditioning, and is a certificated AFAA fitness instructor. Kim has also had several clients with special needs such as; neuromuscular disorders (MS, Parkinson, and SMA (spinal muscular atrophy), pre-surgical/post rehab situations (hip replacements and spinal surgeries), chronic orthopedic conditions (symmetrical differences leading to pain in a variety of joints), spinal alignment issues (ex: scoliosis), limitations created by obesity, children w/ autism, and post-traumatic situations to joints and muscles after car accidents or sports injuries. Kim is a mother of two and knows the
restraints of time and the demands we can put on our bodies. No matter
what age, fitness level, special need, you are or have, there is a customized
fitness routine waiting for you! Kim has received training at the Midwest Pilates institute in Madison, Wisconsin for her comprehensive Pilate’s education. Her training has included education in levels one through four for the reformer, Wunda chair, spine corrector, ladder barrel, spring board, and Cadillac. She has studied Joseph Pilates’ classical ideas and fundament movements. She continued her studies in the history of classically taught Pilates’ movements with the pre-Pilates concepts of Eve Gentry. Kim’s education paid close attention to the diversity of human bodies and modifications which allows for every body type to enjoy classical Pilates!
