Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice developed in India almost 4,000
years ago. In the last decade yoga has become increasingly popular in
the west, and currently, about 15 million people in the United Stated
do yoga.
121 trainers will eliminate the mysteries of ancient yoga
poses and terminology bringing clients the benefit of yoga and meditation
with user-friendly techniques which are practical, understandable, and
doable for any fitness level.
Yoga is designed to improve the health, performance, and
mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their
level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga,
it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power.
In order to gain this strength and flexibility, you can
do a variety of different yoga positions or poses - each of which has
specific physical benefits. The poses can be done either quickly in succession,
creating heat in the body through movement, or more slowly to increase
stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose.
Yoga is constantly changing, which means that it never gets
dull or boring. Although the yoga poses do not change, your relationship
and abilities will.
Meditation
Meditation
is also an important step in the “practice of yoga”. To properly
meditate learn to turn your mind inwards and focus your mental energy.
People who meditate regularly find that it clears their mind and allows
them to think in a positive manner.

Assessment
The first fitness assessment
is included in packages of 10 or more sessions.
A person’s body is made up of many different
components. Some of the major components are bone, muscle, organs,
and fat. The amount or percentage of the fat component is of great
interest to most of us. It is what everybody is concerned about
when they think about their appearance, health, fitness, and longevity.
A fitness assessment
includes: |
| 3
minute cardiovascular evaluation (measuring recovery heart rate)
3 muscular endurance assessments
Body dimensions (measuring lean muscle mass)
A skinfold evaluation
Approximately ½ hour in length
If sessions are bought individually, an assessment
must be purchased separately ($80.00).
All assessments should be repeated every 6-10
weeks to evaluate progress and adjust program design.
All payments are due on the date of the first
session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur
a charge equal to one session.
Rates are subject to change. Prices will never
change during a purchased training package. Sessions expire after
6 months of the purchase date. |
